Frequently Asked Questions

Is this agency NEA-registered?

All agencies listed in this directory are sourced from the publicly accessible NEAIMS list of government-approved overseas recruitment agencies. However, you should always verify the agency's current licence status directly at neaims.go.ke before engaging their services, as licences must be renewed annually.

How much should I pay this agency?

Under Kenyan law and NEA regulations, the maximum levy an agency may charge a worker is strictly regulated. For most GCC placements, the employer bears the primary recruitment costs. Be suspicious of any agency asking for more than KES 20,000–50,000 before you have a confirmed job offer, valid visa, and signed employment contract.

What documents does the agency need from me?

A legitimate agency will require: your original passport (valid for at least 2 years), recent passport photos, academic certificates or trade certificates, a copy of your national ID, and in some cases a police clearance certificate. Never hand over original documents without getting a signed receipt.

What happens if my employer abuses me abroad?

Contact the nearest Kenyan embassy or high commission immediately. Kenya has diplomatic missions in Saudi Arabia, UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, UK, Canada, and other countries. You can also call the NEA hotline or report to the DCI on your return. A licensed agency is legally required to assist in your repatriation if things go wrong.

Can I find a job without going through this agency?

Yes — KadjaHirePortal lists thousands of verified overseas vacancies directly from employers. Applying directly reduces the risk of exploitation and can significantly lower your costs. Use the links below to browse current vacancies.
